we use the past simple to talk about

A - completed past actions

B- generally true or reported past actions

The Form

sub + past verb + complement sentences

[[example - I wathed television last night
[she visited her uncle yesterday]

[NOTE

we use with he , she , it ___ was
like - she was sick yesterday
we use with you , they , we - all the plural pronouns - ____ were
like - They were happy when they passed the exam
